Very often we hear some people say: “You have to be better than those people, or that person” and even parents are telling their kids “you have to be better than us, you have to be a somebody in this world, not a nobody”. Do you think that is right? I asked God for His opinion about it and what did I find? I found that in the Bible God never tells us: “You have to be better than somebody.” He tells us who its best not to follow but He never tells or asks us to be better than somebody else. In our culture I hear this a lot: “You have to be greater than all mediocre people. They are nobody's, but you have to be a somebody”. And people make their opinion about someone and call them mediocre or average. And very often they don't even know anything about these people's lives.
Last Sunday during praise and worship time I stood and God started to speak in my heart. You know, people usually expect children to grow up first. They say: “You need to grow. You need to get an education. You need to do this and that, and then you can be able to or you will have the possibility to do something". Am I right? They believe that in order to do something, you have to wait for when they grow.
Last Sunday God spoke to my heart and He said that this is not right with Him. God started to remind me about examples in the Bible where He used young people, even kids. He started to talk to me and to show me that the age for Him does not really matter.
This is very important topic in people’s life. Especially it can be really helpful to young people in order to build their lives on right foundation and have a good victorious life. Our lives are shaped by what we confess. You are what you say. Every time we can hear: "You are what you eat". It is about our physical health and it is true. But what is about our life in every area of it? You are what you say! Whatever you say about yourself will determine what life you will have tomorrow. In the spiritual realm all that happens to us is the result what we say or have said. Many people today complain about everything in their lives, they never see anything good around and particularly in themselves.
People who never see anything good in themselves are people who do not believe in themselves.
